Welcome to Fivor, a service of Fivor GmbH, Sommerfeld 13, 45481 Mülheim an der Ruhr, Germany (hereafter "we" or "Fivor"). Please read the following terms of use and disclaimers carefully before using our app.
§ 1 Purpose of the app, and no medical advice
The Fivor app uses artificial intelligence to support you with everyday meal planning, to generate recipes and to compile shopping lists. We expressly point out that the content provided by Fivor does not constitute medical, dietetic or clinical advice. The app serves solely to convey general knowledge, to inspire, and to encourage a considered lifestyle. Fivor is in no case a substitute for professional advice from certified nutrition professionals or medical practitioners.
§ 2 Warning regarding allergies, intolerances and pre-existing conditions
People with pre-existing conditions (e.g. diabetes, gastrointestinal illness), food allergies or intolerances (e.g. coeliac disease, histamine intolerance) must discuss any planned dietary change with their treating physician in advance. Users are themselves responsible for critically checking all ingredients and recipes suggested by the app for potentially allergenic or harmful components before consumption.
§ 3 Content generated by artificial intelligence (AI)
Fivor uses advanced AI systems (large language models) to create personalised recommendations. Because artificial intelligence works on probabilities, we accept no warranty for the accuracy, completeness or currency of generated recipes, nutritional calculations or quantities.
The AI features (e.g. the chatbot) are specialised in nutrition-related questions. For enquiries outside this subject area, no quality or accuracy of the answers can be guaranteed.
§ 4 User account and minimum age
Using Fivor requires creating a user account. Users are obliged to provide truthful information when registering. Only one account may be created per person.
Minimum age: Using Fivor requires a minimum age of 16 (Art. 8 GDPR). People under 16 may use Fivor only with the express consent of a parent or guardian. By registering, the user confirms that they are at least 16 years old or that the consent of a parent or guardian has been given.
§ 5 Limitation of liability
Fivor GmbH is liable without limitation only in cases of intent or gross negligence, and for injury to life, body or health.
For ordinary negligence we are liable only for breach of material contractual obligations (cardinal obligations) — those whose fulfilment makes proper performance of the contract possible in the first place and on whose observance the user may regularly rely. In such cases liability is limited to the damage typical for this type of contract and foreseeable at the time.
Any liability for damage to health, or for material or immaterial damage, arising from the unchecked adoption of AI recommendations is excluded as far as legally permissible. Users act on their own responsibility when applying the generated recipes.
§ 6 Availability and warranty
Fivor is provided "as is". We strive for high availability but cannot guarantee uninterrupted or error-free use. Maintenance windows, technical faults or temporary unavailability do not give rise to any claims.
We reserve the right to extend, restrict or discontinue individual features of the app at any time, provided this is reasonable taking the interests of users into account.
§ 7 Data protection and data residency
Your privacy is our highest priority. Fivor hosts all user data strictly in line with the GDPR on secure, certified servers of Hetzner Cloud in Germany. We employ technical and organisational measures to protect your data (in particular chat histories and household preferences).
Information about how you eat, your intolerances or your health goals counts in law as a "special category of personal data" (health data under Art. 9 GDPR). In order to create tailored AI plans for you, we require your express consent to process this data.

§ 8 Termination and deletion of the user account
Users may delete their account at any time in the app settings. On account deletion, all of the user's personal data is irreversibly deleted (Art. 17 GDPR, right to erasure). This includes:
- Profile data (name, email, dietary preferences, tags)
- Chat histories and AI-generated content
- Group memberships (the user is pseudonymised)
- Subscription data and usage history
Fivor GmbH reserves the right to suspend or delete user accounts if the user breaches these terms of use.
§ 9 Changes to these terms of use
We reserve the right to amend or supplement these terms of use as needed. We will inform you of material changes in good time by email or in-app notification. The current version is always available atfivor.com/en/terms.
Continued use of the app after the amended terms take effect constitutes acceptance. If the user objects to the amended terms, they have the right to terminate and delete their account under § 8.
§ 10 Final provisions
The law of the Federal Republic of Germany applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If the user is a consumer, mandatory consumer protection provisions of their country of residence remain unaffected.
Should individual provisions of these terms of use be or become invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions remains unaffected. The invalid provision shall be replaced by a valid rule that comes closest to the economic purpose of the invalid one.
